Overall, Garmin has been a big part of my golf game--generally for the better. However, as an owner of the R10 launch monitor, I have to say that the sim portion of the app is so buggy that it has become a sore spot for me. As an example, once I finish a round on Home Tee Hero, I have to actually close the app and restart it as it becomes stuck 100% of the time.

Wife bought me a watch last season and I've been using it for a season and a half now. The watch is great tech works well and very accurate. The App could use some improvements but is serviceable now. The strokes gained would be useful if i used the phone app during the round to input the proper info but the watch only gets it wrong sometimes. When the watch does get it wrong the whole card is basically useless without significant work after a round to remedy the data.

I was under the impression you could use the app like some other apps that show distances on the hole as you're playing. All I can get it to do is keep score. When I'm done, my watch syncs to the app, then I can see where all my shot data. The CT10 devices work great with my watch, Instinct2 Solar, but then I have to do a sync after the round to get any info from the app. If I don't use my watch, all I would get was the score, no data. So the app is basically useless until post round analysis
