NOTE ON GPS SUPPORT: Strava depends on GPS for recording activities. In some devices, the GPS does not work properly and Strava will not record effectively. If your Strava recordings show poor location estimation behavior, please try to update the operating system to the most recent version. There are some devices which have consistently poor performance with no known remedies. On these devices, we restrict installation of Strava, for example the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 and the Galaxy Express 2.

"2 stars" because of the watch app. It regularly fails to sync activities to mobile app. I finish an activity, press "Open on the phone", it opens the app and shows nothing! But hey, there is an option to sync "unsynced" activities in setting. Yes there is, and it does nothing. Nothing changes when I press it. Watch model: Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.

The app itself is great, easy to navigate and use. I've seen tons of degradation in the quality of features and experience since I started using it in ~2015 through. They've gone overboard with the Freemiun model and it's quite annoying now to be pestered at every turn and feature/button with a subscription. Which, by the way, is far too pricey for what you get... maybe have tiered models? or just flat out charge less and go for volume. Either way, I'm yured of the self advertisement throughout.

Strava offers horribly low amount of data, compared to other running/cycling apps, while charging users twice as much or more for a "Premium" version. Training analysis is very simple and doesn't give any valuable insights. Majority of subscriber perks are completely useless, and no one cares about them. The UI design is good, and the social aspect is definitely the best Strava has to offer, as it syncs with many different platforms, but besides that there's little to no positive things to say.
