Update: So I am very disappointed about the news that Dan Harris has left the app. It is truly a lesson in impermanence. I have to say, there are a number of things such as the colors, layout, format and interface that have changed in the last 2 years of which I am not too fond. Nonetheless, the content is still good. 👍 Amazing... Been using this app since 2015. It has been an amazing support and I am grateful for the people that put this amazing app together. Thank you Dan Harris and team!

10% has helped me. I find that it to be the most down to earth and practical meditation program I've tried, including books and other apps. It's not fluffy, it's not new agey. I've been in chronic pain since 2011. While I haven't found anything specifically for pain, I've been able to use the breathing to help reduce the pain. And when the pain is too much I've been able to breathe in such a way that I can shorten those episodes. I learned about mediation in the 1970s, they called it "centering" back then. During my third year of pain I did some research and found that mindfulness meditation was highly recommended. So I tried it and realized that I already knew it!
