On one side, Duolingo is a great opportunity to learn languages in the form of a game up to B2 level, but: (1) I've lost my access, and the password reset email never arrives. (2) No response on reported bugs. (3) No grammar explanations. Error analysis only for money. (4) Strange selection of stories for review, usually very easy and limited.(5) I've reached the end of the course, Du proposing daily review with the same 3 topics with the same exercises. (6) Switch between languages not working

Used to be okay but recent updates have removed profile pictures and any other means of communicating/expressing yourself, as well as the textbook/grammar sections of the lessons, now only forcing repetition of pre-made sentences you may or may not understand. Also, if you haven't logged in for a while for whatever reason the app icon turns into a sick snotty owl face that is borderline disturbing. It's sad but I really cannot recommend this anymore.

Duolingo, where is the dark mode? Please bring it back. It is very, very, very, very uncomfortable without dark mode. It hurts my eyes so much, especially at night. And no, I am not going to turn on my phone's dark mode because it affects all my other apps, which I don't like. I stopped using this app because of that. I really, really hope Duolingo fixes this problem. Until then, I am using another app and hoping they will bring dark mode back. please!🙏🏻
