Reels totally ruined the ap for me. Instagram used to be a social media focused on pictures, and it was great for posting my artwork as an artist. After reels (short videos, similar to the content on Tiktok) were inteoduced however it's totally impossible to reach new people without making them. It's sad seeing a social media app that had it's own thing completely change to ride the Tiktok wave. On top of that they constantly introduce new features that do not work. Would not recommend.

I need help, (1)after updating it doesn't let me read paragraph and scrolls down automatically and doesn't let go up. I go out of dm then come back to read it. (2) The search option from meta ai's dm is gone. Add it back quickly. It's very hard to find the topic you are searching (3) Sometimes after sending a message, no response comes back and it says "something is wrong, try again and it doesn't fixes no matter how much I refreh the app" My request is focus on fixing present bugs and issue.

Feeds are inundated with ads and videos rather than photos. There is no easy way to pause videos, especially without going full screen. Sounds continues playing in the background when I close the app. Cant see the comments youre writing to edit them, cant edit them after posting, cant copy the text to edit and repost. Honestly Instagram has been around too long and Meta has way too much money to be so buggy.
