[Book 2 of 4]

A technological scourge ravages the land, razing buildings, roads, and living creatures without remorse, transmuting the dust of the destroyed into more of the destructive force, spreading like a swarm upon those powerless to stand in its way.

Five people will do all they can in a desperate attempt to survive what the few have unleashed upon the many. In the process, they'll learn more about themselves and those they've loved and worked with than they'd ever known--or wanted to know.

And they'll learn that there's far more to their thirty-sixth century world--and the blotted-out sections of history--than they ever imagined.

The first book was rather disappointed, but this book though there are a lot of secrets yet to be uncovered, already interesting enough. The world in its destruction, yet all of this already predicted and there is someone or something behind this who giving orders.

I like the authors attention to detail in all of his stories. I'll admit it gets a little repetitive at times, but I'll liking this series so far.
